I thought that since this is Australia Day I might post a few photos of some of Australia’s spectacular scenery!

In addition to assorted speedo-clad Aussie lifesavers, I’ve included a photo of a competitor at Bondi’s infamous nude surfing competition.

There’s also a great vintage B&W photo of the NSW Amateur Swimming Association’s Men’s Team taken at North Sydney Swimming Pool. I don’t know how many years ago this photo was taken but it was obviously the ‘pre-speedo’ era ( thankfully not the ‘pre-bulge’ era, though)!!

My own celebration of Australia Day commenced this morning with my customary daily check of what’s been posted on my favourite blogs.

I was pleasantly surprised, greatly entertained and hugely impressed with the special Australia Day ‘edition’ of Lampoon Straight Guys.

If you’re an Aussie, you’ll readily indentify with this creative post and if you’re not an Aussie you’re going get a great laugh (and learn a little bit more about Australia at the same time)!
